The big shots of Philippine Badminton, led by the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Jejomar Binay, joined forces with Cong. Albee Benitez, Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan and Coach Nelson Asuncion to establish the country’s first professional badminton ranking system, which aims to discover the future champions of this well-loved sport.

The Philippine Badminton Ranking System (PBaRS) is the organization which sets into place, a systemized way of ranking players through their participation in PBaRS-sponsored tournaments. Players gain points by joining and excelling in these tournaments, making the ranking both fair and official. This aims to serve as a venue for both amateur and professional players to be recognized and help renew the love and passion Filipinos have for badminton.
